Safestart UK aim to reduce the high number of accidents suffered by children every day.
To achieve this, our goal is to provide every primary school, nationwide, with our safety educational resources. The resources will remain in schools to be used regularly and as part of their PHSE and citizenship lessons. They may also be taken home to encourage parents/carers to get involved.
By joining SafeStart UK, you will be providing children with invaluable safety education.
Looking at the statistics:
Road Accidents in 2006
- 31 child pedestrians aged 5-11 were killed in Britain.
- 865 child pedestrians aged 5-11 were killed or seriously injured in Britain.
- 12 child cyclists aged 5-11 were killed in Britain.
- 207 child cyclists aged 5-11 were killed or seriously injured in Britain

Fire Incidents
- 34 children under the age of 11 are killed in fires in the UK every year and around 1,200 are injured.

Together we can make a positive change to these statistics, by increasing safety awareness and knowledge. Giving children a safe start in life will provide them with considerable life changes and save lives!

Becoming a member of SafeStart UK allows you to nominate any school of your choice to receive the safety resources. As a thank you for getting involved we will display your company details on the parent safety leaflets which will be distributed to parents/carers of the children that attend the school.
